Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2020/2021 Harvest

The Picual olive is one of the world’s most popular varieties of olive oil.  This olive originated in Spain and can be grown in other parts of the world.  California has the perfect climate to grow this olive and it creates a wonderful extra virgin olive oil.

The Picual EVOO has a high polyphenol count, which brings with it a host of health benefits. Polyphenols are natural antioxidants.  There are other properties in extra virgin olive oil that make it good for you as well, such as oleic acid, and all of these wonderful attributes create a healthy way to get your fat.

These olives were harvested in October of 2019 for 2020 season and were cold-pressed onsite with a mobile mill to guarantee absolute freshness in Bakersfield, CA.  This extra virgin olive oil boasts notes of tomato leaf and green artichoke. A medium robust oil with mid-level bitterness and pungency that leaves a spiciness in the back of the throat.  It’s a great everyday olive oil and an excellent addition to any pantry. Use this olive oil over your vegetables and on your meat, fish, and stews.
