I make sure to drink 8 ounces of water every morning before I eat anything to give my body a chance wake up and start the detoxifying process. I feel like I am starting my day off hydrated and my organs get a chance to wake up – sometimes I drink more…. But what if I added a shot of olive oil and lemon?

According to Step for Health, taking 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil and Lemon every morning when you wake up helps your body in many ways!

I’ve talked about the health benefits of Olive Oil; it’s an anti-inflammatory, an antioxidant and it’s a healthy fat – monounsaturated. So, taking a tablespoon every morning – on an empty stomach and wait 30 minutes before eating – is another way to give yourself a dose of healthy goodness!

I always try to eat as much Olive Oil as I can during the day but taking a tablespoon in the morning would get me a head start.
